To be outside, to challenge the body, to be one with the elements: this is what motivates us. The close, local connection to nature also inspired the creation of the sustainable Ex4 gloves. Launched in Winter 2020/21 and is based on four pillars: use of recycled materials, carbon-neutral, PFC-free, and a repair service. The range is a new and pioneering flagship product for the company.
The four pillars of the collection
Winter 2020/21 is looking very promising for ZIENER: with the new freeride-oriented Ex4 gloves range, the manufacturer wants to set an example and steer the company towards the future. In addition to its high quality and functionality, the winter sports gloves for men and women stands out for its sustainability. The products use recycled materials such as Sympatex, Polartec® and PrimaLoft® to ensure a sustainable, environmentally friendly cycle. Furthermore, the range is carbon-neutral: all emissions are offset by internationally recognised climate protection projects. For this ZIENER is working with ClimatePartner, which will designate the manufacturer a climate-neutral company in 2020. In addition, the Ex4 products are PFC-free – a PFC-free impregnation is used instead. As the cherry on top there is a repair service for the Ex4 range, so that the products bring joy for as long as possible – following the principle "Repair, reuse, recycle".
The story behind Ex4
In addition to the four environmental aspects of the collection and the transition to the fourth generation of the family, the number "4" also occurs again and again in nature: in the seasons, the directions or the elements. "We at ZIENER are always out and about in nature – because we love outdoor sports and we always get our ideas during activities out in nature. The name Ex4 is a tribute to nature and the four elements," says Managing Director Frank Burig. The slogan "BE ONE WITH THE ELEMENTS" expresses exactly this feeling and the story behind the collection. Going out, letting loose and being one with nature and its elements – this is what the range stands for with its highly functional, stylish products.
We are very proud that ZIENER can call itself a climate-neutral company from 2020. ClimatePartner has drawn up a CO2 balance for our location in Oberammergau - the greenhouse gas emissions determined are now being offset by nationally and internationally recognised climate protection project. From the 2020/2021 winter season, the company is going a step further when it comes to climate protection: its facility and the Ex4 collection with ski gloves is becoming climate neutral.
