8 Our carbon offset projects: Mountain forest project in Oberallgäu The mountain forest in Oberallgäu was severely damaged by the winter storms Vivian and Wiebke in 1991. Volunteers are planting silver firs and sycamores for a stable mixed forest which can resume its function of providing protection against storms and other effects of climate change. We’re also supporting a carbon offset project in Inner Mongolia. 5
